A dandy kind of a composition from the “Only to sniff” category. Well, that is, the main pleasure is obtained at the junction of tea, which is drunk, and brandy, which is sniffed. Vanilla notes in a cup rhyme with vanilla notes in a glass very well.
The coolest version of such a composition is Ruby Taiwanese tea siphoned with a vanilla pod cut into centimeter pieces. And sherry brandy aged in Pedro Ximénez barrels. Dried marigold (Tagetes) petals are optional in this case, they are meant to add more joy. But if you take a simpler tea, e.g Assam, and brew it with vanilla in a teapot, then dried marigold petals are needed, they will add softness to the drink.
After you enjoy the combination of taste and aroma, you can drink the brandy, of course.
